# Favorites

Smartsheet allows users to "star" dashboards, folders, reports, sheets, workspaces, and other objects on their Home tab to mark them as favorites.
These API operations allow you to access the user's favorite API-supported objects, as well as create and delete favorites.
NOTE: For documentation purposes, "favoriteType" is a placeholder ENUM for the various types of UI elements you can flag as a favorite. In sample code, when you see "{favoriteType}", just replace it with one of the following values:
* dashboard or dashboards (aka Sight or Sights)
* folder or folders
* report or reports
* sheet or sheets
* template or templates
* workspace or workspaces
